Hey, I’m Jess. Mom of 2 incredibly cute boys, Lars (7) & Bear (6), that are full of life & always ready to let loose at the playground.
I’ve been both a full-time mom & worked from home, but I could never seem to get much done. I always wished I could set up a work station & get work done while my boys were contained & could get their energy out while socializing at the same time.
I’ve tossed this idea around for quite some time & after hearing moms in local mom groups lament about the lack of indoor play spaces, I knew this was what I needed to do. My background in business, graphic design & plenty of weekends at various play areas has lead me on this new journey. It’s an exciting new adventure & I can’t wait to share this experience with as many families as possible.
Why rough & bumble was started
Business Born Out of A Real Need…
Sometimes you just need to escape the four walls of your house—yes, even if your tiny shadows are coming with you. Working at home with kids glued to your side (and climbing on your head) isn’t exactly inspiring. That’s why we created Rough & Bumble: a space where your kids can run wild without using you as a jungle gym, and you can sip a latte, get some work done, or actually talk to another adult who gets it.

Working from home is incredibly tough. Whether you’re doing school work, meal planning & scheduling your monthly calendar or trying to catch up on work emails. It all matters & is important in our daily lives.
Providing a space that can allow you time to work, decompress, relax, or get some much needed adult socialization has always been the goal. I hope to see you around the hive soon!
